Unit #35

Welcome to one of the most private homes at Kahana Village where every window provides beautiful and varied vistas. In the morning, open the drapes in the ground floor bedroom to a cool and colorful island garden. Prepare breakfast in the kitchen overlooking Kahana Nui, an intermittent mountain stream. Look closely when it is flowing; you may see a night heron fishing from the lush overhang. Take your breakfast tray to the lanai and enjoy a splendid view of the coastline up to Kapalua Bay and across to the neighbor island of Molokai.

From December to May, look for Hawaii's famous humpback whales in the Pailolo Channel with the aid of binoculars located in the living room television stand, (remembering to replace them so other families may also enjoy their use.) Because the ocean view looks north, it is rarely necessary to close the drapes against the hot afternoon sun so you can take in the panorama all day long. In the evening, after a full day's activities, take cool drinks to the lanai and relax to the rhythms of the off-shore breakers and the winking of the shore-line lights far in the distance on Molokai.

  We loved our week in Kahana Village #35 and we'll definitely be back. The unit itself is beautiful, modern, cozy, and has every amenity you could possibly want, right down to things like a cheese slicer and a cocktail shaker! Everything was sparkling clean and midweek cleaning was appreciated. The ocean front location was perfect. We loved the view of Molokai and spent happy hours on the lanai. Groceries, shops, restaurants, and various walks (we are walkers) were a short drive away.
  Tip: DT Fleming beach park near the Ritz Carlton Kapalua is uncrowned, has lots of parking and from there you can walk to the rocky coast to for great views of crashing waves, sea turtles, etc. Also, the small store on the Ritz property has a nice selection of sandwiches and salads to go or there's a beach front cafe.
  The staff at Kahana was helpful and friendly in our few interactions.
  One suggestion: they could improve their website. Finding information on availability, etc, takes a lot of clicking compared to other properties.

  This was our first time in Hawaii. Kahana Village is a wonderful place to stay while in Maui. So close to the ocean you can almost touch it from the condo. The grounds are beautiful with a variety of vegetation & well maintained. The condos are nice & has just about everything you need. Not required but a fresh coat of paint & a cleaner or new area rug would be bonus. Spent quality time with the family. It was nice to cook a few meals indoors & use the grill by the pool. Sitting on the deck enjoying coffee or a glass of wine with the family was the best. Great memories. All the staff was friendly & professional. Would love to stay here again.

  This place was amazing. The grounds are lovely, the condo was just as advertised, and everything was incredibly clean. Staff were unobtrusive but helpful when desired. Appliances worked well. Beds clean and comfortable. A/C was fabulous! The view from the lanai is incredible, we watched the sun set every evening. I loved this place, and if I can afford it, will return as soon as possible!

  We were sad to end our time at Kahana Village unit #35. This was just what my husband and I needed to slow down and celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary. Pros: meticulously landscaped gardens with fruit trees of mango, bananas, oranges, and more. Friendly accommodating office staff, room keepers, and grounds keepers. Private beach and view is so relaxing. Unit 35 is well maintained and modern with personal care and attention to details without an overly "Hawaiian" theme. Cons: there were some ants in unit #35, but we were able to control them with some Terro ant baits that we took upon ourselves to purchase. We did mention the ants to the office and they were quick and gracious in offering to send someone by. We declined, since they bait we'd purchased seemed to be helping. Another con is that unit #35 is not as private as we expected. There is a nearby of what appears to be a private home with a pool, and we could hear kids screaming as they played in the pool in the evenings. Fun for them, but just not for quiet romantic nights. All and all, the way we know what's a good place for us is whether or not we'd repeat. The answer is yes, if we ever get back to Maui. Hope someday we will.

  We enjoyed our stay at Kahana Village. it is a smaller more intimate community as compared to some of the high rise condo properties on Maui. The beach was small but quiet and it felt very private. The grounds are well kept. The staff was really awesome, they went the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable. Thank you!

  Perfect location if you want some privacy. Well maintained and clean property. Unit is a little dated, but who cares, we spent all our time on the beach, which we had all to ourselves most of the time. Great sunset views from the balcony. But a rental car is a must (free parking) as you are 2 miles from the closest grocery store. We will be back!

  We're a family of 4 with teenage boys and stayed at unit 35. We loved it as soon as we walked in. We loved the location. It was quiet. The staff were very helpful. There is great coffee shop up the road. The experience of our stay at Kahana village was one of the highlight of our trip to Hawaii. We plan to come back again.
